Rev' d Henry Ifeanyi Okonkwo was born as the last of 10 children in the family of Pa Elkanah Obi(of blessed memory) and Mrs Constance Mgboli Okonkwo of Isiukwo ward, in Ezioko village of Oko, Aguata Local Government of Anambra State - Nigeria. His journey of life which started on July 4, 1973, brought him to Onitsha, Onyeabo Memorial Primary School, where he attended his Primary Education (1982 - 1986), from where he went to Bishop Crowther(Junior) Seminary Awka (1986 - 1989), where he obtained his Junior Secondary School Certificate. He immediately proceeded to the famous Dennis Memorial Grammer School(DMGS) Onitsha (1989 - 1992). At DMGS, young Henry served as the School's Assistant Protestants' Chapel Prefect, Member DMGS Chapter of the Student Christian Movement (SCM), and a foundation member of the Revivalist Group in DMGS between 1989 - 1992. Pastor Henry as he was fondly called then by school mates and friends however did not leave the school without his Senior Secondary Certificate as awarded by the West African Examination Council (WAEC).

Journey to the Tertiary Institution, Rev' d Henry attended Federal Polytechnic Oko (1993 - 1995), where he obtained his Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Library Science and he proceeded to Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka (1999 - 2002) and also bagged Bachelor of Science (Bsc) degree in Co-operative Economics and Management. By January 2003, it was a change of life for him, when he was posted to Anglican church Eziorsu Lilu, Ihiala Local Government Area, Anambra State - Nigeria in the then Nnewi Diocese as the Pioneer Church Teacher.
By January 2004, Henry was transfered to St. Paul's Anglican Church Unubi, Nnewi North Local Government Area still in the Diocese of Nnewi. In 2006, Henry was granted the opportunity for Theological Training by the Lord Bishop of the Diocese of Nnewi. His Theological Training which lasted for 2years at the then St. Paul's University College, Awka (2006 - 2008) gave him Diploma Certificate in Theology (Dip.Th).

Afterwards, he was made Deacon by the Rt. Rev' d Dr. S.c Ezeofor, the Lord Bishop of Ogbaru on June 8, 2008 and was subsequently posted to St. Lukes's Anglican Church, Okpoko. In the month of July that same year, Rev' d Henry was appointed Chaplin for the Anglican Student's Movement in the Diocese and subsequently, the Editor of the Diocesan magazine(The Holy Seed). In the course of time, the Lord Bishop of Ogbaru, appointed him the Diocesan Director of Communications; all these positions he still holds till date.

The transfer/disposition of workers, in the diocese, of 2008 December relocated him to St. Mary the Virgin East Niger, where he was still the Curate where he was priested on July 5, 2009. By January 2010, he was already transferred again to Anglican Church of the Pentecost under St. Luke's Parish Okpoko still as Curate, though the presiding priest of the church and he still serves there till date.

Rev' d Henry is married to Mrs. Grace Amarachukwu Okonkwo (Nee Agbo) and the marriage for now is blessed with four wonderful and God fearing children; Onyinye-Amarachukwu, Odira-Akachukwu, Onyedika-Adimnobichukwu and Oluoma-Amuchechukwu.
